Brands, and observations.

Posted on 14/11/2025 by Dave

I’ll say upfront this isn’t intended to make fun of anything, anyone, or offend. But it might – so if it does, I apologise now. They are merely some observations, made over the last few weeks, which might highlight differences in some cultural norms, and in the way some English words are sometimes used where English is not the primary language. And some which just made me chuckle.

I’m sure I read in a marketing book that “the name should encapsulate the essence of the product”
…or you can try celebrity endorsement
Made from? Fed to?
(in truth, they looked ok)
Just don’t criticise this restaurant
A statement, or a need for punctuation?
If we’re on the subject of cultural assumptions…
…is this what a band from Hull uses for distant gigs?
(Sorry, no.1 neice!)
This brand might catch on in the UK, but I’m not sure all purchasers would go away happy
What can I say??
Perhaps Max needs to try “Kevin”?
“Exclusively for clients” – that’s service for you!
